We used to eat fried chicken at my grandma’s house on most Sunday nights. We’d eat it with rice and sometimes spinach, sometimes cauliflower, sometimes broccoli, sometimes buttered mixed vegetables. Then we’d watch 60 minutes and my dad would fall asleep. Then we’d eat an ice cream sandwich. Then we’d kiss my grandma goodbye, and fight in the car on the way home. Then I’d lie about having done all my homework, and play with my Battle Beasts and M.U.S.C.L.E. Men instead of going to sleep.
